Terms of Service

Effective date: May 29, 2026 · TarmacLabs

1. About AutoBrief

AutoBrief is a pre-flight decision-support tool operated by TarmacLabs. It layers on top of a flight school's existing scheduler to surface pilot currency, medical, endorsement, insurance, and aircraft-airworthiness information and to produce an advisory GO/NO-GO summary. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

2. Advisory only — not a clearance, not an official briefing

AutoBrief is a decision-support tool. It does notreplace the pilot-in-command's authority and responsibility under 14 CFR § 91.3, and it is not an official weather briefing or an FAA-approved source. Every GO/NO-GO output is advisory. The pilot-in-command and, where applicable, the chief pilot remain solely responsible for the final determination to conduct or cancel any flight, and must verify all information against authoritative sources and obtain an official briefing (for example, 1800wxbrief.com / Leidos Flight Service) before each flight.

3. Eligibility & accounts

AutoBrief is offered to flight schools, operators, and the certificated personnel they authorize. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter and for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Notify us immediately at support@tarmaclabs.org if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Operator responsibilities

AutoBrief is a record-keeping and decision-support tool. It is not a certified FAA system and does not replace your professional judgment or legal obligations. You are solely responsible for:

  • The accuracy of all pilot, aircraft, currency, medical, insurance, and maintenance data you enter
  • Compliance with all applicable FAA regulations (14 CFR Parts 61, 91, 141, and others)
  • The final GO/NO-GO determination for every flight, made by the pilot-in-command and/or chief pilot
  • Maintaining your own airworthiness, currency, and dispatch records independent of AutoBrief
  • Reviewing and signing off on any override of an AutoBrief advisory result

TarmacLabs assumes no liability for operational, airworthiness, or regulatory decisions made using data displayed in AutoBrief.

5. Subscription & billing

AutoBrief is offered on the following tiers:

  • Starter — 1 aircraft / 1 instructor · free or $49/month
  • Solo — 1–2 aircraft · $199/month
  • School — 3–10 aircraft · $499/month
  • Fleet — 10+ / multi-base · $999–$1,499/month

Paid plans are billed in advance. Annual contracts receive two months free. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer partial refunds for unused time.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use AutoBrief to:

  • Enter false, fabricated, or misleading aviation records
  • Substitute an AutoBrief result for a required regulatory determination or official briefing
  • Attempt to access another organization's data without authorization
  • Use the platform for any purpose that violates applicable law or FAA regulation

7. Data and privacy

Your use of AutoBrief is also governed by our Privacy Policy. You retain ownership of all data you enter. You grant TarmacLabs a limited license to store and process that data solely to provide the service.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TarmacLabs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of AutoBrief, including but not limited to errors in displayed data, advisory GO/NO-GO results, service interruptions, data loss, or any flight-operations decision. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

AutoBrief is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that displayed data is accurate or complete for regulatory or operational purposes. Always maintain your own records and make your own determinations.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, your access ends and your data will be handled per our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the service grows. Material changes will be communicated by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
