Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 29, 2026 · TarmacLabs

1. Who we are

AutoBrief is a pre-flight decision-support tool built by TarmacLabs for flight schools and operators. References to “we,” “us,” or “TarmacLabs” mean the operator of this service. You can reach us at support@tarmaclabs.org.

2. What data we collect

Account data — your name, email address, organization, and authentication credentials when you create an account.

Operational data — pilot names, certificate/medical/currency/insurance status, endorsements, aircraft tail numbers, squawks, inspection dates, and GO/NO-GO check records you enter or import.

Usage data — standard server logs including IP address, browser type, and pages visited. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

If you operate AutoBrief in local-only mode, operational data is stored in your browser and is not transmitted to our servers.

3. How we use your data

  • To provide, operate, and improve the AutoBrief service
  • To produce advisory GO/NO-GO summaries and pre-flight briefs from the data you provide
  • To send transactional emails (account, billing, and service notices)
  • To diagnose errors and maintain service reliability

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.

4. Third-party services

When operating in connected (non-local) mode, we may use the following sub-processors:

  • Supabase — database, authentication, storage (US servers)
  • Vercel — application hosting and edge delivery
  • Anthropic (Claude API) — plain-English explanation of GO/NO-GO results
  • Resend — transactional email delivery

Each service operates under its own privacy policy and data-processing terms.

5. Data retention

Your account and associated data are retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. Data stored in local-only mode is removed when you clear it from your browser.

6. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting support@tarmaclabs.org. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Your state privacy rights

Depending on your state of residence (for example, California under the CCPA/CPRA, and similar laws in Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and other states), you may have additional rights, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion, the right to correct inaccurate information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information. To exercise any of these rights, contact support@tarmaclabs.org.

8. Security

Data transmitted to our servers travels over HTTPS. Where stored on our infrastructure, it is protected with row-level security at the database layer and passwords are never stored in plain text. We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures, though no system is perfectly secure.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be communicated by email to your registered address. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
